Dental Hygienist
Karen has been working in the dental profession since 1988. Her first role was as a dental assistant in Launceston which sparked a desire to study further. Karen applied to study dental hygiene at the Gilles Plains TAFE and upon acceptance, made the move to South Australia. She graduated with an Associate Diploma of Dental Hygiene in 1994.
After graduation, Karen spent time working in Darwin, Adelaide and Hobart, eventually returning to Launceston in 2011 where she joined the team at The Dental Surgery, Newstead.
Karen is a member of the Dental Hygienists Association of Australia and served a term volunteering as a National Councillor for this organisation.
In her spare time, Karen enjoys music, travel – especially a good road trip – and sampling our fabulous local wines!
