Australian Dental Association Membership

All of our dentists are members of the Australian Dental Association (ADA).

The ADA is the peak national body for the dental profession. The primary objectives of the Australian Dental Association are to encourage the improvement of the oral and general health of the public, promote the ethics, art and science of dentistry and support members to provide safe, high quality professional oral care.

In 2016, The Dental Surgery, Newstead was proud to be named an Employer of Choice by the Tasmanian Government’s Department of State Growth. We were recognised again in 2025 as part of the Employer of Choice Renewal Scheme. 

Since 2008, Tasmanian organisations from a range of industry, business and community sectors have won awards and continue to be acknowledged as Employer’s of Choice. The Employer of Choice Program recognises those employer’s who create great places to work.

Tasmanian Training Awards – Small Employer of the Year 2022 & 2025

We’ve always valued high quality training for our team. We’ve spent many years developing our training processes, and this commitment to training has been recognised on multiple occasions at the Tasmanian Training Awards, where we were named Small Employer of The Year in both 2022 and 2025.

These awards are supported by the Tasmanian Government’s Department of State Growth and aim to celebrate Tasmania’s finest apprentices, trainees, vocational students, teachers and trainers as well as training providers and employers.
