Australian Dental Association Membership

All of our dentists are members of the Australian Dental Association (ADA).

The ADA is the peak national body for the dental profession. The primary objectives of the Australian Dental Association are to encourage the improvement of the oral and general health of the public, promote the ethics, art and science of dentistry and support members to provide safe, high quality professional oral care.

QIP Accreditation

In 2016, our Practice was awarded Accreditation through Quality Innovation Performance (QIP) who are the exclusive, independent accreditation provider of Private Dental Practice Accreditation.

In order to earn and maintain our Accreditation, we have to demonstrate the integration of the National Safety and Quality Health Service (NSQHS) Standards into our everyday practise. This represents our commitment to continuous improvement and provision of the highest quality dental care.

So what does this mean for you? QIP Accreditation means that you can have confidence that you are receiving the highest quality treatment from professional and caring staff whilst you are at our Practice. In 2016, The Dental Surgery, Newstead was proud to be named an Employer of Choice by the Tasmanian Government’s Department of State Growth.

Tasmanian Training Awards – Small Employer of the Year 2022

We’ve always valued high quality training for our team. We’ve spent many years developing our training processes, and this commitment to training was recognised when we were award Small Employer of The Year at The Tasmania Training Awards.

These awards are supported by the Tasmanian Government’s Department of State Growth and aim to celebrate Tasmania’s finest apprentices, trainees, vocational students, teachers and trainers as well as training providers and employers.
