Dentist
Elchèrü (pronounced El-Cherie) was born in South Africa and during her childhood, immigrated to Outback Queensland with her parents and sister. Elchèrü completed her schooling years in Mount Isa before heading off to university in Brisbane and then Cairns. Elchèrü completed her dental degree at James Cook University in 2020 and graduated with Distinction.
After 6 years of study, Elchèrü moved back to Mount Isa and worked in the private sector since January 2021. Elchèrü was fortunate enough to complete her undergraduate placement in Launceston and naturally, she fell in love with Tasmania. Elchèrü is incredibly excited to be moving back and joining the team at Newstead in 2022. Elchèrü enjoys all aspects of general dentistry and prides herself on her attention to detail. She is passionate about delivering comprehensive and quality dental treatment.
Elchèrü enjoys spending quality time catching up with friends and family, nursing her houseplants and practising yoga. She also loves spending time with and taking her fur babies Evie (adopted greyhound) and Bailey (whippet) for walks. Elchèrü looks forward to spending her weekends enjoying all Tasmania has to offer!
