New patients are made welcome at our Practice.
The Dental Surgery, Newstead offers dental appointments for patients of all ages. Whether you need to book a routine examination appointment or if you want to see a dentist about a specific problem – just give us a call.
We require all new patients to complete a Patient Information Form. This allows our clinicians to gain a thorough understanding of your medical and dental history and provide you with personalised, quality dental care. Alternatively, you can complete this form at our Practice prior to your appointment.
If you have been to another Practice and wish to have your dental records transferred to us, you will need to sign a release form. This form is available as a PDF here. To make the most of your time with us, we suggest that this form is completed at least 2 weeks before your appointment. For further details about transferring your records, please speak with our friendly reception team.
What to expect at your first appointment
We are committed to providing you with comprehensive and personalised dental care. For many new patients, a first appointment may consist of a full examination and 2 or more x-rays. Your treating dentist will discuss your individual needs with you at your appointment. Your first appointment with us will take between 45 and 60 minutes.
In complex cases, or where you need time to consider multiple treatment options we will book a second consult to discuss these things further with you.
Accounts
The Dental Surgery, Newstead requires accounts to be paid for in full at the time of your appointment. We accept cash, EFTPOS, Visa and MasterCard payments. If you have private health insurance, we can claim from your insurer through our HICAPS terminals. For more details please click here
Cancellations
Our Practice requires a minimum of 24 hours notice for cancellations. This allows us to allocate your appointment time to other patients. Should insufficient notice be given, a $50 cancellation fee may apply. As a courtesy, we endeavour to confirm all appointments the day before.
