The Dental Surgery, Newstead is looking for an experienced dental assistant to join their dedicated team of health professionals.

About the role

As a dental assistant at The Dental Surgery in Newstead, you will play essential roles in both clinical and administrative settings. Your work will rotate through various areas of the practice, providing the opportunity to work alongside multiple clinicians. You will also be involved in sterilisation duties and administrative tasks. This variety ensures that each day is unique and engaging!

To be considered for this position, the applicant must show:

• A comprehensive working knowledge of clinical dentistry.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills,
• Outstanding organisational skills,
• Excellent computer skills (including typing speed and accuracy),

• A desire to learn,
• A calm and considered approach, and
• That they could work collaboratively, actively contributing to a positive work environment.

Formal qualifications in dental assisting are preferred, but not essential. Extensive on-the-job training will be provided.

Previous experience with Dental4Windows is desirable.

We are seeking someone who possesses not only the necessary skills but also the right attitude. It’s important that this person values teamwork, demonstrates initiative, and contributes to the ongoing improvement of both the team and the overall practice.

This position is ideally for three days a week, but we are open to discussing alternative possibilities with the right candidate.
